Vision
Living Connected, Seeking to Serve
Mission
Acts 2:41-47: Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things in common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Prayer
We connect to the Father and each other through prayer. Prayer goes before all church activities. We share our joys and concerns with each other and take comfort in praying together.
Worship
As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whether therefore, ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Ministry
We are ‘His Hands Outreach.’ Faith Decision is His Hands reaching out in our community, county, state, and the world. We get outside our comfort zone, and reach out our hands to help those in need. We connect with Tates Creek Association, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We reach out through groups like Carpenters for Christ, God’s Outreach, Hope Ministries, and Awana.
Evangelism
Faith Decision will reach out in friendship to those around us to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We will seek opportunities to connect friends and family to Christ.
Discipleship
We study the Bible to grow in our understanding of God. Our focus on God’s Word connects us to Him in our daily lives. This connection gives us power to accomplish God’s will.
2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Fellowship
Living connected binds us together and ensures harmony. Our love for each other builds us up like a family. That same love, God’s love, awaits everyone we come to know.
